HOD-853 Spiritual Practice and Social Justice4 semester credits Students study how spiritual practices can be the foundation for compassion that includes the self and extends to others. One area of inquiry is how contemplative practices, such as mindfulness, can lead to greater self-awareness and connections to others. Transformative learning that leads to increased authenticity and caring social action is another focus.
