ODL-679 Big Data in Organizations4 semester credits Increasingly, big data is used in organizations to drive policies; as part of an accountability movement and as part of human resource management. This course will explore the application of data within organizations. Students will be encouraged to think critically about the use and application of data in organizations. Topics covered include: data and accountability; data-driven policies; employee hiring and workplace management—-as well as legal, ethical and issues of algorithmic transparency.
