IECD-574 Intervention in Practice4 semester credits This course provides an opportunity for students to learn how to formulate clinical or educational case material and apply it to design a comprehensive intervention program with infants and young children, in a variety of settings (e.g., therapeutic, educational, day care, and/or home). Students will gather developmental family and other case information and then formulate a comprehensive treatment plan to address family concerns. Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Understand the definition of case formulation for intervention.
- Understand the components of a case formulation to guide intervention.
- Develop a multidisciplinary document that can be used in developmental interviews and treatment planning for intervention.
