CMHC-507 Diagnosis and Assessment

3 semester credits
This course teaches student the skills necessary to provide culturally sound assessment and diagnosis.  Specifically, students will gain the skills necessary for biopsychosocial case conceptualization, differential diagnosis, client engaged treatment planning and evidence-based practice. Students will understand the legal and ethical use of appropriate surveys, instruments and tests that guide diagnoses aligned with Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (5th Edition; DSM 5) criteria.
