IECD-521 Infant Mental Health4 semester credits This course is a seminar on the early history leading to the development of the Infant Mental Health movement. The group will read two articles each week dealing with developmental issues, individual differences, and relationship issues beginning in 1940 and continuing through 1980. The purpose of the class is to help students understand the historical origins of the work that eventuated in models including DIR. The articles that have been chosen are those from key figures working clinically with very young children and families. The course combines lectures, reading materials, and related assignments to achieve its learning objectives. Delivery Method: Online Grading Default: Letter
